Cabarrus County's Communications and Outreach Office provides information about County projects, services and events to the citizens of Cabarrus County through various mediums including local newspapers and broadcast media, the County's website, Cable Channel 22 and email newsletters. The Communications and Outreach Office operates Cabarrus County's Own Channel 22 and produces weekly and monthly programming relevant to local government and other community interests. Responsibilities include distributing news releases and other informational materials for the public and news media, as well as overseeing the County's website. The goal of the Communications and Outreach Office is to improve communication between citizens, community groups, elected officials and County employees. The Communications and Outreach Office also serves as a liaison with Emergency Management to coordinate communication services in the event of a community emergency or disaster.
